On Monday, October 14th, 2024, Del-One Federal Credit Union celebrated its’ 3rd Annual Community Service Day! On this day, over 190 teammates donated approximately 1200 hours of their time, talent, skills, and muscle to ten different organizations throughout the state of Delaware. These organizations included: Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity, Modern Maturity Center in Dover, Mamie Warren Senior Center in Smyrna, Sunday Breakfast Mission in Wilmington, Food Banks of Delaware in Newark and Milford, Rose Hill Community Center in New Castle, Luther Towers in Dover, La Esperanza in Georgetown, & Sussex County Habitat for Humanity.
Del-One teammates spent their day at these organizations assisting with everything from cleaning, organizing, painting, building and so much more. Teammates shared they were motivated by teamwork, and everyone working towards a goal. In a feedback survey, one teammate stated she enjoyed “knowing that we are making a difference in family’s lives”. Another stated “I enjoyed being a part of giving back to the community. It warmed my heart to see people receive what they needed”. President & CEO Dan McCarthy stated, “I appreciate all our teammates at Del-One for taking part in this amazing day of service. Our teammates can always be counted on to put their heart and muscle where their mouths are and do what needs to be done!” Del-One remains member focused and community driven and will continue to give back to the community to benefit the membership they serve.
